Deliver food safety and quality compliance for FS/microbiological risks for PFNA while enabling innovation for newly formed meals innovation platform.
- Food Safety leadership on the principles of thermal processing (together with other non thermal mitigiation approaches, e.g. UV, Ozone, radiofrequency, irradiation, etc.), micro and sanitation strategies for the safe, stable and legal production of product
- Provides insights through microbiological research studies and method development to inform food safety and quality decision
- Establish thermal processes through temperature distribution, heat penetration and microbial challenge study.
- Subject matter expertise driving flawless innovation and in support of product stability and stability issue resolution
- Subject matter expertise in area of microbiological methods, risk assessments and protocols and representation with regulatory authorities as needed

- Insights from horizon scanning that identify emerging industry trends and new technologies, chemistries and processes
Compensation and Benefits :
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $72,500 - $121,300 based on a full-time schedule.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

- BS in Food Engineering, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology or other related technical field, MS and PhD highly desirable
- Minimum 3-5 years of thermal processing experience in Operations, Quality or R&D
- SME in Food Safety, Sanitation, Thermal Processing / Alternative PreservationMicrobiology, Pathogen Environmental Monitoring, Hygienic design and zoning, cGMPs, AIBI and other auditing schemes; familiar with aseptic line validations
- Proactively drive agendas to meet business timelines; successfully handle adverse circumstances.
- Achieve quality results consistently despite obstacles. Monitors progress against goals, identifies issues and takes corrective action early.
- Long term strategic planning to support PepsiCo future vision
