This position is responsible for providing engineering and database support for large to small scale drainage projects for both public and private clients.
Responsibilities- Assist Project Managers and Senior Engineers perform hydrologic modeling and 1D/2D hydraulic modeling for various types of public and private projects
- Model and develop construction plans for detention, open channels, and storm drain for projects of various size
- Develop FEMA submittals for Conditional Letters of Map Revision and Letters of Map Revision
- Develop plans, specifications and estimates for various drainage projects
- Construction observation at various construction stages
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET college or university
- 1 year of engineering experience in Hydrology/Hydraulics modeling, design and/or construction preferred, not required; internship experience will be considered
- Engineering coursework focused on hydrology and hydraulics engineering
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience with databases and ArcGIS; use of HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and XP-SWMM- preferred but not required
