Addison-HVAC, LLC. is seeking a Designer I to join our Team!
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: Designer I will support Product Engineers. They will be responsible for completing drawings, and Bill of Materials for sheet metal parts.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the Design team to create drawings for production, and other departments.
- Create and maintain Bill of Materials for new parts and small assemblies in Solid Edge.
- If needed run part data through cost calculator and update ERP.
- Ensure that fabricated parts and assembly drawings are completed on time to the project, worklog, or ECN dates.
- Create simple parts and sheet metal 3D models.
- Visualize a concept from 2D to 3D and vice versa.
- Create and maintain all submittals, installation, and instructional drawings.
- Creates and maintains drawing templates/title blocks though Solid Edge
- Drives peer over peer review of 2D designs
- Mentor’s drafters within the department
- Supports the production floor for cabinet design issues.
- Collaborate and encourage teamwork within the department.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- High School diploma, or equivalent (GED) 3-4 years of experience
- In process of obtaining A.S. in Drafting and Design, or equivalent, 2 years of experience preferred.
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Basic knowledge of Addison HVAC DOAS products
- Basic knowledge of Sheet Metal Designs
- Intermediate 3D CAD software knowledge (Solid Edge or SolidWorks preferred)
- 2D Drawing Geometry
- Trainer
- Knowledge of ECN Processes
- Must be detailed oriented
- Great time management skills
- Communicates proficiency
- Problem solving skills
