AddressOur partner is seeking a detail-oriented Engineer-Compliance/Coordinator-Compliance, Sr. in Houston, TX. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enhance compliance procedures and programs.
- Monitor and analyze proposed/revised regulations, guidance material, and enforcement actions.
- Manage process/program changes and determine compliance approach in coordination with SMEs.
- Interface with Operations personnel for program consistency and feedback.
- Participate in revision processes and conduct compliance assessments for inspections.
- Review compliance records, new regulations, and provide technical support to operations.
- Coordinate data requests, manage report submissions, and participate in incident response teams.
- Capture and maintain compliance documentation within records management systems.
Working Conditions:
- Overnight travel within the U.S., sometimes up to 50%, with cell phone availability.
- Clear drug screen and background check required.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform essential job functions, including travel and field activities.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- 7 years of direct work experience in Compliance may substitute for a degree.
Experience/Specific Knowledge:
- 7 years practical work experience in Engineering and/or Compliance.
- Thorough understanding of interstate pipeline regulations (Title 49 CFR Parts 192 OR 195).
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications and technical writing.
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Competencies, Skills & Abilities:
- Working knowledge of pipeline operations, project management, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient in basic engineering skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of problem-solving.
Preferred:
- Strong understanding of pipeline safety regulations.
- Knowledge of natural gas and/or hazardous liquid pipeline operations.
- Experience in regulatory inspections and SharePoint collaboration.
