Ventus Executive Solutions (VES) is seeking an Engineering Analyst (Naval Surface Warfare SME) to join our exciting team providing support to the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)). This team advises and provides the government customer mission engineering, analysis, and integration expertise to produce objective insights and analytic justification to inform future technology and capability investment decisions within the Planning, Programming, and Budgeting Execution (PPBE) process and aid in the prioritization, alignment and validation of requirements within Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) to deliver modernized capabilities that enable an all domain joint force aligned with future Joint Warfighting Concepts.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with 5+ years of Naval Surface Warfare operational experience. The person in this role will serve as the senior analyst on a team of analysts, engineers and modelers conducting Mission Engineering studies for OUSD R&E in accordance with the Mission Engineering Guide. The candidate will assist in developing the study plan, identifying needed resources (personnel, modeling tools, etc.), socializing the study with stakeholders, executing the study, and authoring the study final report. This qualified candidate will serve as the Naval Surface Warfare SME for the Mission Data Integration Division and liaise with combatant commands and service research labs. The ideal candidate has excellent communication, analytic, and problem-solving skills. The candidate should have experience with planning and orchestrating Naval Surface Warfare Operations.
The anticipated work location is in Alexandria, VA, on site, with potential for limited telework. Travel: less than 10%
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Surface Warfare Officers Graduate (SWOs)
- Technical expertise
- Demonstrated leadership and strong collaboration skills
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility
- US Citizenship
Desired Experience
- Master's Degree in Operation Research; or possess certificate from Professional Military Education relevant to Military Training and/or Military Planning
- Naval Weapons Tactics Instructor Certification or equivalent
- 10+ years" of Naval Surface Warfare operational experience
- Experience working in the Joint Staff
- Experience analyzing system solutions to complex and challenging DoD problems
