Engine Technician - Shop
Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We have a full-time, 2nd Shift Engine Technician - Shop position available at our Longview, Texas location. The hours of the position are Monday-Friday from 4:00pm to 12:30am.
Job Description:
This position is responsible for providing high-quality teardown, inspection, and repairs of diesel engines (natural gas) in a shop environment, responding to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner, and, ensuring maximum value for work performed.
Qualifications:
A qualified candidate must have the following skills or abilities:
- Perform complex repairs correctly such as teardown, inspection, repairs, test running, and/or painting of diesel engines in a shop environment.
- Ability to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and able to work in a team atmosphere.
- Must have own tools.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- GED or High School Diploma highly desired
- Must have steady employment.
- Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, etc.
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs. approximately 15 times a day.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and results-oriented.
- Excellent attendance is required.
- Able to work overtime as needed to meet customer demand
- Must have great leadership skills and be able to lead a team
