Job Description
BAE Systems - RF Capability Group is seeking a strong Senior Principal II RF/Microwave Engineer with significant experience designing Microwave hardware modules. This position requires expertise designing wideband microwave modules, including receiver front ends, tuners, up/down converters, and/or switch matrices. Candidates are expected to support all phases of development from early-stage architecture reviews through production.
Key responsibilities:
  • Serve as technical lead or principal investigator on Capability Group programs
  • Act as the RF/Microwave Subject Matter Expert for major design reviews and peer reviews
  • Design leading-edge hardware modules with a focus on small size, low noise, wide bandwidth and/or high linearity
  • Lead root cause and corrective action investigations
  • Verify and validate aspects of system designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements
  • Participate in the generation of specifications, Test procedures, and other necessary drawings and documentation
  • Mentor junior engineers

Required Skills and Education
  • US citizen with the ability to obtain Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Scientific field and 12+ years related experience
  • 10+ years relevant design experience with specialization in RF, microwave, or millimeter-wave engineering
  • Fluent with Keysight ADS (preferred) or equivalent software
  • Strong communication and writing skills
