Your Opportunity
This position will be responsible for working primarily with the Fuel System Engineering Group in the Auburn, NH, Portland, ME, or Overland Park, KS offices, although work with other groups, including environmental and civil engineering may be included. Duties will include both in the office work as well as field work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions. Office work to include CAD drafting, code/regulatory review and reporting, drawing printing and assembly, report printing and assembly, review, and quality assurance. Out of office work to include construction observation and site inspection. Regional travel/day trips to other New England offices may be included. It is assumed that the summer internship position will end at the end of August, or at the commencement of the university academic fall semester.
Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work with AutoCAD and REVIT software for side design and family/component modeling of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Drawing reviews and transferring markups to designs through associated software
  • Supervised design of Energy/Fuel Systems to include piping, hardware, tanks, and associated electrical systems
  • Communicate regularly with your assigned mentor and task team lead(s)
  • Comply with safety and security protocols
  • Correspondence with manufacturers or permit authorities

Education and Experience
  • Enrolled in an accredited University or College and pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering (or related field)
  • A minimum of 4 undergraduate semesters in one of the above major
  • Experience with AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel required

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
