If you are a self-led, energetic professional, Honeywell currently has an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your technical and customer skills in a key role as an Energy & HVAC Outreach Representative in our Surfide office.
The Energy & HVAC Outreach Representative will enroll small, medium, and large commercial and industrial customers in an automated demand response (ADR) program. Through participation in an ADR Program, customers temporarily reduce their energy use during periods of critical grid stability when electricity supplies are constrained. By participating, customers earn incentive payments through the reduction of electrical peak demand.
Key Responsibilities:
Research customer base to identify good candidates for program
Establish contact with customers to explain program benefits
Perform basic analysis of customer electrical usage to identify electrical load that can be curtailed during an ADR event
Explain, from a technical perspective, the ADR process and how electrical demand will be curtailed
Demonstrate the financial benefits of participating in the ADR program
Overcome customer objectives and concerns
Work with the customer throughout project implementation to answer questions and help work any issues that arise
Candidate must be able to explain product features and technical procedures in clear language that is easily understood by all audiences.
Develop, update, and maintain customer tracking reports
Strong work ethic, with the ability to self-manage daily work schedule and performance, with limited supervision
Excellent oral and written communication skills
 
Location/Travel:
This will be a remote position covering the Eastern South Carolina Territory.  Ideal candidates will be in or near the following locations:
Myrtle Beach - surrounding areas
Monks Corner - surrounding areas
Company Vehicle / Expense Account:
Company vehicle is provided (Must have valid driver's license.)
Corporate Travel card will be offered to pay for expenses (No expenses come out of your pocket)
Ideal Candidate:

Sales and or Customer Service Representative in one of the following industries is preferred: (Energy/Utilities/Telecommunications/Retail/Consumer Direct Selling/Engineering services)
Strong sales prospecting and ability to creatively secure new customer opportunities.
Willing to travel both locally and overnight on occasion.
Self-motivated with the ability to work highly effectively with minimal supervision/remote management.
Strong organizational skills.
Possesses exceptional listening and communication skills (phone, email, and in person)
Outstanding relationship-building skills with a high degree of responsiveness and integrity
Ability to familiarize oneself with industry knowledge and terminology.
Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
Individually as well as directing other sales representatives, develop and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects, consistently updating prospect interaction and results in CRM system.
Creatively identify new markets, products, and sources of revenue as well as provide recommendations to the organization.

YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum 3 years of related commercial or small/medium business technical sales experience in the energy industry
1 year of experience researching and cold calling potential customers
2 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Valid driver's license
Tech Savvy (CRM or Customer Relationship Management software)
WE VALUE
Bachelors' degree
Experience developing sales plans and leading sales reps is strongly preferred
Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or ability to earn a CEM within one year
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and corrective action documentation to communicate with associates at all levels of organization
Ability to quantify and calculate electrical loads within facilities
Ability to overcome sales objections and close sales
Proven track record of consistently exceeding quotaAdditional Information
