Position Purpose:
This position provides Endpoint Administration, Imaging, Software distribution and licensing, Inventory, and reporting for all computer hardware and software in the Campus. The Endpoint Administrator is also responsible to ensure proper life cycling, RMA and repairs for supported endpoint equipment, and a complete record of all distributed hardware and software for faculty and staff, as well as public facing or general use workstations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Quest KACE
  • Install and maintain system with current updates IAW industry best practice
  • Plans outage and maintenance windows
  • Customize configuration and reporting
  • Conduct periodic reports
  • Oversee physical inventory
  • Train new technicians as needed
  • Oversee imaging
  • Respond to user requests for assistance with computer hardware and software, including end users, identifying the specific issue, troubleshooting and resolving it, or escalating as appropriate
  • Provide end users training
  • Plan and manage the setup and installation of all computers and peripherals, insuring they are all kept up to date
  • Setup computer images, including developing standard system configurations and standard application set-ups
  • Install and configure Windows Operating Systems
  • Install and Configure Application software
  • Install and configure computer peripherals
  • Plan and implement computer replacements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field; or combination of related education and experience.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining the Local and Wide Area Network Infrastructure, consisting of servers, routers, internet gateway, and firewalls.
  • 3+ years of project management experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-wide infrastructure and application
  • MCE, MCSE certification preferred
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Networked computers, major software applications, such as Microsoft and WordPerfect, and Hewlett-Packard, Canon, and Savin printer software
  • Analytical, problem-solver, critical thinker
  • Strong customer service skills with demonstrated responsiveness to customer needs
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with end users to accomplish objectives
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent project management skills
