Role Snapshot

The Internship Program with WPS Health Solutions is comprised of four key components. WPS interns will primarily focus on the responsibilities within their functional areas, as it relates to their respective field of study. In a group setting, interns will collaborate on the “Pay-It-Forward Project” – the development of a resource to be utilized for future program participants. The third component relates to exposure to corporate culture and training to aid in future career successes. At the conclusion of the program, interns will participate in a final presentation for senior executives by showcasing their experience in the program and functional areas.

In this role:

The End User Experience (EUX) team is responsible for all Desktop and Mobile Device hardware and OS lifecycles (deployment, maintenance, and security); Desktop Software Application packaging, patching, and installation; and the WPS Citrix environment.

Set up and install new and replacement mobile and desktop devices, which includes imaging equipment and deploying necessary software, utilizing applications such as SCCM and Intune.

What you will do as an End User Experience IT Intern:

  • Unpack equipment and pack equipment for shipping.
  • Configure and install hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives.
  • Provide updates and completion information to manager and/or Team Members.
  • Follow established company policies regarding safekeeping and security of equipment.
  • Assist troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance work on the technical equipment.
  • Provide technical support on assigned Help Desk tickets (ServiceNow) in person and by phone.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of security requirements.

Hourly Rate of Pay

  • The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The starting hourly range for this position is $18-$22

Minimum Qualifications

  • Be currently pursuing a degree in higher education or recent graduate
  • Have experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Work on-site within regular business hours at the Corporate Office in Madison, WI (remote work is not offered)
  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to Department of Defense restrictions.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Top-tier academic performance
  • Be currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Networking, Communications Technology, or equivalent field, or a recent graduate
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous in demanding situations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with a group
