Pay:
•After your probationary period of 90 days you will receive a wage increase, then 180 days after, and at 1 year.
•Under 1 year of experience starts at $22/hr for the probationary period.

Schedule:
We are currently hiring for two full-time positions working two 18 hour shifts a week for a minimum of 36 hours a week, from 0800 to 0200.
Schedules for the month are set in advance for Monday-Friday.
Scheduling will be reviewed during your interview and orientation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The role of EMT is not a traditional position. It is a fast-paced position that requires people who can work long shifts without sacrificing focus. The EMT must possess and apply knowledge and skills to perform the duties of an EMT in a professional manner and providing dignity and compassion in the performance.
Must be 21 years old at the time of hire.
Must have a valid Washington state Driver’s license and current Washington State EMT Certification.
You must also be current on your OTEP training and have your training records available along with your application.
Provide three professional references as well in order to be considered for the position.
- Presents himself or herself in a professional and punctual manner and displays a good public image for the employee and the company in accordance with company policy.
- Complies with the company and county EMS policies and procedures.
- Completes patient care and other documentation in compliance with accepted company documentation standards.
- Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, family members, visitors, and employees, and in compliance with set precautions and approved standards.
- Ensures that the required equipment is on the ambulance and is in good working order.
- Assesses risks to patient safety.
- Provides the highest quality of patient care.
- Always operates the emergency vehicle in a safe manner and obeys traffic laws.
- Always maintains vehicles and stations in a clean and presentable manner.
- Responds to instructions from the dispatcher and caries out assignments quickly and safely.
- Keeps training current in accordance with the agency OTEP plan, WAC, and RCW.
- Maintains communications equipment, medical equipment, and supplies in accordance with applicable standards and company policies.
- Participates and completes all daily assignments proficiently, punctually and in accordance with the directives of the Operations Supervisor, General Manager, and other management team members.

- Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry 250 lbs. infrequently (1-3 times per shift)
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry 150 lbs. frequently (5-10 times per shift)
- Must have ability to step up and/or climb over obstacles
- Must be able to climb stairs while carrying up to 150 lbs.
- Frequently: Walking, lifting patients and equipment, kneeling, stooping, bending, leaning, hearing/listening, clear speech, touching, long periods of standing.
- Should not have any physical conditions, impairments, or restrictions that would preclude them from participating in the moving and lifting of patients and/or equipment and supplies
- Experience with using EPCR and SOAP narratives for documentation is preferred.
- Interfacility transport experience is preferred.
