THE POSITION:
The Emergency Medical Technician, Detox Technician assist clients who are coming off drugs and alcohol using various therapies, including aroma, experiential, and nutritional. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Respond to any urgent health emergencies that might arise in the Detox Area.
• Keeping up admin for the Case Manager.
• Performing routine 30-minute checks on clients while on the overnight shift.
• Keeping the students participating actively in the detoxification process.
• Routine checking of vital signs.
• Administering withdrawal vitamins and ensuring clients stay hydrated.
• Regular tidying of the Detoxification area.
• Making sure that clients feel welcome and comfortable.
• Providing aromatherapy to aid withdrawal.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Willing to work the overnight shift.
• Perform client Urinalysis while they are on detox.
• Complete and filling out requisite forms; maintain paper and electronic client files and records.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:

• EMT Certification is required
• Must be willing to work Night Shift Thursday through Sunday, 10pm-8am
• Must have BLS Card, CPR Certification.
