POSITION SUMMARY
To prepare, conduct, and coordinate the CICP training program within New England EMS Institute. Responsible for increasing student learning through delivery of a relevant and progressive curriculum, designing and implementing effective learning strategies and environments, delivering instruction of high quality, assessing student learning and advising student.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Designs, teaches, coordinates and evaluates CICP educational program.
2. Utilizes educational theories and principles to facilitate learning.
3. Assists the Manager with the overall planning and ongoing educational activities of the department.
4. Prepares, operates and disassembles practical lab station(s).
5. Participates in the assessment, development and implementation of New England EMS Institute’s policies and procedures.
6. Designs, teaches, coordinates and evaluates Paramedic Refresher Training Programs (RTPs).
7. Participates in American Heart Association BLS and delivers BLS courses for the Elliot hospital and/or the EMS community.
8. Assists as needed with PALS & ACLS programs.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
1. Ability to plan, organize, instruct and facilitate educational courses of quality.
2. Ability to utilize technology which supports learning and teaching.
3. Ability to work with students in both one on one and in group instruction situations.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE
1. Education: Associate's Degree in Science or related field of study required.
2. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of EMS experience required. Critical care experience required. Previous EMS teaching experience preferred.
3. Certification/Licensure: Current National Registry as a Paramedic required. CICP, FP-C, or CCPC-C certificate required. Instructor/Coordinator (I/C) certification preferred.
4. Software/Hardware: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
