Qualifications
- The successful candidate will enroll, attend, and successfully complete all requirements of a state-approved EMR education program
- A 6 month work commitment to Bell is required
- 18 years of age or older
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Successful obtainment of Certification at the EMR level within 30 days of course completion
- Successful completion of a Hazardous Materials - Awareness level program
- Successful completion of NIMS/ICS 100, 700, & 800 programs
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Responsibilities
- Responds to emergency and non-emergency ambulance responses to provide efficient and immediate care to include the critically injured or ill
- Selects and uses personal protective equipment appropriate to the level of anticipated hazard
- Complete patient records and required state charts on all transports and transfers performed
- Complete a legible narrative description of the patient's condition
- Demonstrates cognitive competency of EMR knowledge measured by quizzes and examinations
