The Assistant Electrician is responsible for assisting our electrical team install, repaid, and maintain all electrical systems. Duties include installing conduit, mounting junction boxes, and assisting with assembly of MCC's. This career requires the ability to work in a fast paced environment, and the ability to use simple power tools. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, as well as experience with low voltage systems.
I. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Works directly with lead electricians to assist with the assembly if electrical components, cabinets, and MCC's.
    • Responsible for installing hard and soft conduit, pulling wires, and mounting of junction boxes and control panels.
    • Assists with scheduled maintenance and keeping of maintenance records.
    • Performs pre-job setup and post-job clean up as necessary.
    • Observe safety procedures, LOTO, and meet electrical codes.
    • Other job duties as assigned.

    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
    • Creative problem solving skills, and the ability to resolve issues and provide solutions.

RECYCLING TO CREATE RESOURCE
    • Ability to use hand tools and simple power tools.
    • Ability to operate high reaches, forklifts, and lulls.
    • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

III. Education & Experience
    • High school diploma or GED-equivalent.
    • Experience with low voltage systems preferred.
    • Experience working in an industrial environment preferred.

IV. Other Job Demands
Work is generally performed outdoors in all-weather elements such as hot, cold, rain, or snow and personal protective equipment is required. Working hours may vary and evening or weekend work may be required. You may be required to lift and carry weight up to fifty pounds. Travel requires the ability to drive and the use of a personal vehicle.
