We are currently seeking a EMR Support Specialistto work at our 400 Broadway location.
Position Summary: The EMR Support Specialist is a member of the Department of Population Health who will be responsible for optimizing the utilization and maintenance of the organization’s electronic health record system improving the delivery of patient care and enhancing the quality of data. The EMR support Specialist will support all staff in every aspect of the utilization of the Electronic Medical Record (eClinicalWorks). The EMR Support Specialist will provide assistance and training on the functionalities of the EHR. This includes conducting training programs for existing and new (Clinical and Non-Clinical) employees. Documenting training related materials, conducting refresher training and follow-up sessions with staff. The EMR Support Specialist will assist the Informatics Manager with tasks related to the implementation of EHR system upgrades.
Qualifications: Associate Degree in healthcare, human services, computer science, or related field or equivalent work experience in related field – Required; 2 to 3 years’ experience with eClinicalWorks strongly prefer; Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office required, (applications such as: Work, Excel, PowerPoint); Strong technical and problem-solving skills; Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills required; Ability to work independently and in a team environment; Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload; Ability to stand, walk or sit for an extended period; includes working at a computer for an extended period; Ability to hear and see within normal range ; Excellent Time management skills and must be able to complete assigned projects on a time.
