Job description

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work - Hours will vary and include evenings and weekends. Hours will be scheduled according to the needs of the program, up to 40 hours per week.


Qualifications
- High School Diploma required and 1-3 years’ experience preferred; Associate’s Degree and one year experience preferred.


Work Authorization/Security Clearance - Authorized to work in the United States and pass all background clearances.


Summary/Objective -
Responsible for maintaining all required documentation according to the terms of the contract. Responsible for all intake and referral procedures to include screening and assessment. Provide internal quality control. Complete all assigned trainings within a timely manner. Work with employers in the community to create job placement opportunities. Oversight of situational assessments in the community. Responsible for attending networking events and vocational outreach in the community. Participate as a member of the team in one on one settings and in department meetings.


Essential Functions -

  • Coordinate with employers for job placement opportunities.
  • Responsible for creating situational assessments within the community
  • Work with the person’s employer during placement and training to ensure a smooth transition to the worksite.
  • Attend job fairs, outreach, networking, and informational meetings to promote employment services
  • Coordinate services with the ACCES-VR counselors and OPWDD supervisors regarding all services on a regular basis.
  • Provide work readiness classes and advocacy training utilizing the ACCES-VR course syllabus
  • Conduct participant intake services and prepare all associate records.
  • Ensure the person we support is able to complete the job components in a satisfactory manner.
  • Participate in team meetings regarding people.
  • Assist employment staff with scheduling, time management,
  • Oversight of Employment Aides
  • Ensure all documentation that is required by the state is completed for the case files.
  • Complete daily and monthly progress notes on a regularly basis.
  • Complete random site visits to employers and volunteer locations to ensure quality of services
  • Ensure employer and participant satisfaction at training sites.
  • Interact with the Coordinator and the Community Based vocational Counselor to ensure individual plans are developed and implemented to address the needs of the individual.
  • Attend all trainings required by funding sources including Eleversity, NYS CASE, and CPI trainings
  • Provide Employment Aide duties when needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Coordinator.
  • Attend and satisfactorily complete all required in-services.
  • Adhere to all Agency policies and procedures.

Travel -
Travel is routinely expected depending on primary job location or other areas as deemed appropriate for the needs of the people we support or training purposes.


Work Environment -
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
