Job Description
ATTENTION DEPARTMENT OF LABOR EMPLOYEES!
The Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Division of Employment and Training Services, is recruiting for an Employment Security Analyst 3 located in Anchorage!
This position is in the Supervisory Unit (SS) at a Range 18.
What You Will Be Doing:
As a supervisor in the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Technical Unit you will oversee the activities of professional level Employment Security Analyst 1s, 2s, and 3s. This position is directly responsible for; establishing and conveying projects and assignments to analysts; maintaining the integrity of the UI program; providing high level technical support; researching federal directives and federal law; monitoring state and federal legislative activities; and assisting in drafting state law and regulation for the UI program. This position will also provide staff training and development, research, organize, draft and document the agencies current policies and procedures, as well as develop and maintain current resource and training materials.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:
The physical location of the office is located in the Department of Labor building in Anchorage and behind a closed entry point. A hybrid teleworking schedule is available. Travel may be required to attend meetings and conferences within and outside the state.
