Employee Wellness Program Specialist

Position Overview:

Manages and administers the health and Wellness Program, including design, planning, implementation, and evaluation for an assigned geographic location/operating unit. Works with stakeholders to design, implement and manage health improvement programs to target key employee health risk issues. Serves as a liaison to program vendors and providers. Operates as a key resource for engaging employee awareness and participation in wellness and health improvement program.

Job Description:

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's: Nutrition, Nursing, Health Promotions, Healthcare Marketing, or Healthcare Administration or related field
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

2 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of health and lifestyle modification, educational concepts, strategies, methods, and techniques.
Knowledge of current and emerging trends in health promotion, disease management or Wellness Programs.
Knowledge of counseling and/or coaching techniques.
Program/project management skills to effectively plan, manage, execute and implement.
Ability to analyze data, identify issues and/or trends and recommend course of action.
Organization and planning skills with the ability to effectively prioritize activities and projects to meet deadlines wihle maintaining a high degree of responsiveness.
Ability to communicate through verbal and written means, and to present information to a variety of audiences.
Ability to interact and establish effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of role’s duties while respecting cultural and linguistic differences and fostering an inclusive work environment.
Ability to interact and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties.
Demonstrates respect for cultural and linguistic differences and promotes an inclusive work environment.
Ability to maintain and work discreetly with confidential information.
