A Day in the Life of an Employee Relations Generalist:

This position will report to the HR Manager over Employee Relations and will act as a strategic partner to leadership for implementing, development, and roll-out of human resources programs and initiatives driving organizational excellence. This position will also carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: leadership development, Employee Relations, training and development, leaves, disability, benefits, and other HR processes. This position may recommend new approaches, policies and procedures ensuring the effectiveness of human resource operations.

Here Is What You Will Be Doing:

  • Reviews, analyzes, recommends, and assists in the implementation of benefits, leaves, and other HR practices / processes to ensure both internal and external competitiveness and service.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Partners with management to communicate Human Resource policies, procedures, programs, and updates.
  • Assists with the administration and provides backup for the CRMC employee engagement, benefits, and leave programs.
  • Designs and delivers training for Human Resource Department on assigned topics to include leadership development.
  • Provides coaching, assistance and recommended approaches to employees and managers to help them maximize their performance and potential as well as facilitates communication between managers and employees.
  • Reviews, analyzes, recommends, and assists in the implementation of benefits programs to ensure both internal and external satisfaction.
  • Promotes innovation; serves as a catalyst for new ideas; connects employees to resources and support services to further new idea generation.
  • Provides leadership and organization development expertise where necessary in the organization to ensure Cheyenne Regional’s mission, vision, strategic goals are achieved which includes facilitation of work teams and project teams as requested.

  • Ability to provide strategic and innovating approach to processes and problems
  • Ability to demonstrate an independent work initiative, sound judgment and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of research methodology/program evaluation
  • Thorough knowledge of various state and federal rules, regulations and laws that impact HR decisions and recommendations
  • Strong problem solving, mediation, and/or negotiation skills
  • Ability to interact respectfully with diverse cultural and socio-economic populations

Here Is What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
    • OR, Associate degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration and three (3) or more years of HR Generalist experience.
  • Four (4) or more years of human resources experience and/or leadership role involving human resources.

Nice to Have:

  • Management experience in Human Resources or related field
  • Progressive, multi disciplined work experience in Human Resources
  • Human Resources certification
