Job Overview:
The Employee Experience Specialist provides internal and external client service and support to create an outstanding work experience and fosters employee engagement. Performing a variety of duties to ensure a consistent, efficient experience for all employees, the Employee Experience Specialist will be responsible for providing operational and administrative Human Resources support while ensuring a best in class culture with emphasis on overall Employee Experience. Carries out administrative responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: departmental development, HRIS, orientation and training, onboarding, employee relations assistance, and executive administrative support.
Qualifications:
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Ability to provide for the confidential treatment of all communications and records required
- Must possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently with minimum supervision
- Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, and be open to ongoing coaching and feedback
- Proficiency with MS Office required
Preferred
- AA or BA in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- Minimum of two years Human Resources experience in a comparable role preferred
- Previous healthcare experience strongly preferred
- Skilled in Excel with data analytics experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Peoplesoft and applicant tracking systems strongly preferred
Essential Functions:
- Serves as initial contact and front line access for all internal and external customers
- Partners with key stakeholders to create, edit, and distribute employee communications, including emails, newsletters, and other materials
- Assists in the coordination and facilitation of new hire orientation ensuring a smooth and welcoming new hire experience
- Recommends, develops, and implements special events such as employee engagement events, hospital week, recognition celebrations, etc.
- Partners with the HR team and facility leadership on development, implementation, and impact analysis of retention strategies
- Provides regulatory and survey readiness support
- Maintains current HR files and databases
- Compiles and analyzes key HR metrics, i.e. turnover, vacancy rates, etc., and assists in preparation of related reports and presentations
- Partners with Centers of Excellence on facilitation of recruitment and onboarding processes
- Serves as a liaison between site leaders and the CoEs to facilitate prompt request resolution
