Job Description
Come join our passionate growing group of Human Resources professionals who make up the Employee Relations team. This role can be based in either of our Jersey City, NJ or Boston, MA locations, which both offer flexible hybrid work models.
  • Provide consultative leadership and own the resolution of Employee Relations issues, investigate and offer recommendations/solutions to employee complaints and concerns, analyzing data from various internal systems; composing investigation reports; proposing remedial action based on investigation findings and advise managers in: employee coaching, counseling, performance monitoring and evaluation, employment laws and company policies.
  • Analyze casework trends to produce strategic, proactive recommendations to HR and the business to proactively address and mitigate systemic issues
  • Independently manage assigned casework, bringing investigations to closure rapidly and definitively
  • Partner in analysis and revision of people programs, policies, and practices to sustain a productive work environment for Verisk Employees
  • Stay current in state/province, federal and local employment laws, ensuring the company, management and employees are in compliance
  • Assist in identifying deficiencies and training opportunities for managers, supervisors and employees in Employee Relations matters
  • Recommend ideas, programs, etc. to enhance the employee experience
  • Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan
  • Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources or related field or equivalent working experience in a corporate environment. PHR/SPHR/GPHR or equivalent regional certificate a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive human resources management experience with a minimum of 5 years of extensive Employee Relations experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Americas wide employment laws
  • Experience in developing human resources guidelines and procedures in a fast-paced ever-changing environment
  • Ability to interact with, maintain strong relationships and effectively influence multiple levels within an organization utilizing strong analytical and problem solving skills, business acumen and conflict management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong familiarity with all HR disciplines, as well as staying current on best practices and HR trends.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem solving skills
  • Able to independently manage projects
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Ability to travel to various sites domestic and international
  • Motivated, resourceful, high energy, career-minded driven individual with a polished can do attitude.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a high volume environment where priorities change often.
