Upstate Veterinary Specialties (UVS) is a privately owned, specialty and Emergency Veterinary practice located in the Capital District of upstate New York. We offer a congenial, supportive work environment with board certified specialists in Cardiology, Critical Care, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Radiology, Physical Therapy and Surgery. - Hourly rate starts at $18.00 per hour and increases depending on experience, plus a shift differential of $1- 3 per hour for working past 6:00 pm and on the weekends.

What are we looking for?
We are seeking an enthusiastic team player to work with our medical staff. Veterinary Assistants support our doctors and technicians with the medical treatments and care of our patients. They also ensure that all treatment areas are clean, organized and well-stocked.
Veterinary Assistants must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and, collaborative, team-oriented environment. The ability to lift animals and boxes and constantly move throughout the hospital is required.
**Candidates must have prior experience in a veterinary hospital or in animal husbandry.**
Schedule:
Thursday, Friday, Saturday 5:45 am to 6:15 pm
Open to part-time and per diem.
