Job description

The Captains primary duties will include acting as the Statewide LE Homeland Security/Mutual Aid Coordinator for the enforcement program. Liaison with LED District supervisors and managers for mutual aid response. Represent LED as the liaison to the CalOES, Regional Law Enforcement Mutual Aid Coordinators, State Threat Assessment Center (STAC), Western States Information Network (WSIN), US Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA). Advise and assist LED Districts in establishing ICS for major operations. Coordinate CDFW LED Mutual Aid cost recovery. Briefs the Chief and Assistant Chiefs of the Law Enforcement Division on important law enforcement issues and problems. Represents the Law Enforcement Division on various Department committees. Incumbent must be able to pass the US Department of Homeland Security background check to gain access to a federal security clearance. The position will report to the OSPR Assistant Chief and will be required to perform all other duties assigned by HQ staff.
