this is a Part time position in Pediatric Emergency Department Trauma Center (EDTC Trauma 1)working 12 hour days 7a-7:30 Includes an every 3rd weekend rotation and a holiday rotation. Must be able to commit long term to a Part time schedule working 48 hours in a 2 week pay period. Cannot reduce hours around school or another job.
Now Targeting start date of 2-12-24 or 3-4-24
Will be required to attend new employee orientation day on the first Monday from 9a-4p and central patient care orientation Tuesday through Friday of the first week and the Monday of the following week from 8a-4:30pm. These days are mandatory.
First 2-3 weeks of department orientation will be on day shift full time.
Administers care to patients and performs various patient care activities and tasks in collaboration with and under the direction of emergency medicine providers and nurses. Collaborates with other staff members in the performance of duties. Complies with all established standards and practices.
Current Wisconsin EMT, Paramedic or Medical Assistant certification.
Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED). Successful completion of a state approved Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT), or Paramedic program or course, or graduate of Medical Assistant Program (Clinical Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant)
One year experience in Pediatrics, Emergency Department or Urgent Care, strongly preferred.
