Who you are:
As an integral member of the unit-based care delivery teamby performing a variety of technical components essential to the ongoing delivery of quality patient care. Performs a variety of generic and population-specific technical activities, which support the delivery of optimal patient care while maintaining the highest level of patient safety. To complete appropriate unit-based elements of EKG processes and/or phlebotomy.
What you'll do:
Under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, you will perform a variety of duties, to include, but not limited to the following:
o Activities of Daily Living
o Vital Signs
o Ambulation
o Phlebotomy
o Perform as a Monitor Tech
o Perform as an EMT/AEMT
What you'll bring:
Current registration in the State of New Hampshire as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) and/or National registry of Emergency Medical Technicians EMT/AEMT certificiation.
Basic computer keyboarding and data entry skills required
Requires the ability to utilize and navigate electronic clinical documentation system in order to enter patient data
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
o Note: If not BLS certified through AHA, must obtain within 21 days from date of hire
High School diploma or equivalent

WORK SCHEDULE:
Work schedule may include 4-12 hours per day with weekend coverage based on individual unit needs.
Personnel may be expected to cover for patient care needs by rotating or working extra shifts.
Personnel are assigned to one area upon employment, but may be required to assume assignments in other areas to meet patient needs.
Qualifications - External
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Level I - LNA or EMT experience
Level II - LNA, EMT or AEMT experience
o EKG, Phlebotomy experience
Level III - AEMT experience
o Plus experience required for Level I and II
o Minimum of 1 year of experience with CMC ED

Licensure/Certification:

BLS certified. If not BLS certified, must obtain American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification prior to completion of orientation, not to exceed 21 days from date of hire with Catholic Medical Center. Must maintain BLS throughout employment.
Unit Specific Certification/Programs:
Basic Dysrhythmia Class/Exam:
Must obtain within 6 months of date of hire.
Must have completed and passed the Basic Dysrhythmia Program course offered through CMC.
Must maintain competencies throughout employment.
Specimen Collection/Phlebotomy Program:
Must have completed and passed the Specimen Collection/Phlebotomy Program course offered through CMC.
Must maintain competencies throughout employment.
