Position: Registered Nurse, Emergency Department RN
Pay: Based on experience, starting at $30.16/hr plus shift Differentials: PM $3.30/hr, Nights $4/hr, Weekends $6.30/hr

Shift: Nights 7pm - 7am, or evenings 11am - 11pm; Weekends/Holiday: Rotating weekend (weekends start Friday at 7pm) and preassigned holiday rotation.
Position Requirements:
- License: NC RN
- Certifications: BLS
- Experience: 1 year of nurse experience in the Emergency Department.
- Education: Associates but must have BSN within 7 years
About the Unit
This is a 49 bed unit with emergency, trauma, and various types of diagnoses. This unit and hospital offer exciting ways for RNs to enhance skills and gain more experience.
- A Registered Nurse at Wayne UNC Health Care is a member of the patient care team who, with knowledge of the nursing process, provides leadership in applying scientific principles and professional skills aimed at caring for the ill, preventing disease and maintaining optimum health.
- The RN assists the provider in carrying out a therapeutic regimen for each patient and directs other licensed and non-licensed nursing teammates in providing nursing care to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of individual patients.
- The RN implements the nursing process in order to provide professional holistic patient care.
- Provides all nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
