Position Opening: Embroidery Manager

Job Description & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as the Director of Embroidery. As the Director of Embroidery, you will be responsible for managing the embroidery process, from ordering vector files to operating embroidery machines. Your main focus will be on ordering vector files to be digitized, designing DST files, and overseeing the operation of embroidery machines. Additionally, you will have a direct report who will assist you in operating and supervising the embroidery machines.

Responsibilities:

• Order vector files to be digitized and convert them into DST files for embroidery machines.
• Design DST files using embroidery software, ensuring accuracy and precision.
• Operate and supervise embroidery machines, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand embroidery requirements for various projects.
• Train and guide the direct report on operating embroidery machines and maintaining quality standards.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of necessary materials and supplies.
• Monitor production schedules and work closely with the production team to meet tight deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring the proper storage of materials and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to embroidery machines or software.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and advancements in embroidery technology.
• Assist in training and onboarding new employees in the embroidery department.

Suggested Work Experience & Candidate Attributes:

• Proven experience in embroidery digitizing and machine operation.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality embroidery work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Critical thinking skills to analyze designs and make necessary adjustments for optimal results.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new software and technology.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including the use of embroidery software (experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is preferred but not required).
• Knowledge of various embroidery techniques, materials, and industry best practices.

Pay Range/Job Type:

• $18 - $22/hour plus incentives (bonus pay based on piece count, performance, etc.)
• Looking for full-time OR part-time candidates (schedule can be flexible based on demand)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
