Job Summary:
As the Lead Embroiderer at Cajun Design, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and executing embroidery operations to produce high-quality products. This position requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual with expertise in embroidery techniques, machine operation, and team leadership. The Lead Embroiderer will work closely with the manager to ensure the timely and precise completion of customer orders from their team.
Responsibilities:
Embroidery Production:
Operate and maintain Embroidery Machines to execute intricate designs with precision.
Ensure that all embroidery work meets quality standards and customer specifications.
Collaborate with the admin to translate artwork into embroidery files.
Team Leadership:
Lead and supervise a team of embroiderers, providing guidance and support.
Conduct training sessions for new team members on embroidery techniques and machine operation.
Foster a positive, hardworking and collaborative team environment.
Quality Control:
Implement and enforce quality control measures throughout the embroidery process.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet Cajun Design's quality standards.
Production Scheduling:
Work closely with the manager to understand and manage the embroidery production schedule.
Prioritize and complete tasks given to ensure timely completion of customer orders.
Material Management:
Approve inventory of embroidery supplies, including threads, backing materials, and needles.
Coordinate with the manager to replenish supplies as needed.
Machine Maintenance:
Conduct routine maintenance on Embroidery Machines to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs with the maintenance team when necessary.
Communication:
Collaborate with other departments, as well as the manager, to address any issues related to embroidery specifications or customer preferences.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth production flow.
Adherence to Cajun Design Standards:
Ensure that all embroidery work aligns with Cajun Design's branding and quality standards.
Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques when applicable.
Production Expectations:
Meeting the goals, deadlines and KPIs setout by management.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an embroiderer, with a focus on leadership, time management and supervision.
Proficiency in operating and maintaining various Embroidery Machines.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $19.42 - $23.38 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
