- Open, set-up, close, operate and clean Embrex machine
- Be able to mix sanitizer correctly and dispense into Embrex Machine
- Correctly place trays onto machine, remove trays and place eggs into baskets and stack onto dolly.
- Be able to diagnose and fix small mechanical breakdowns on Embrex machine.
- Record flock numbers and averages to give to Embrex Production Leader.
- May perform portions of the work of higher classified positions occasionally, as assigned.
- Specific duties may change as demanded by business, see Hatchery manager for adjusted duties.
- Must have working familiarity with assigned equipment, and assigned material or willing to obtain.
- Must be highly self-motivated and able to follow established procedures and meet standards while working unsupervised.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction.
- Ability to use sound judgment to solve problems and to make safe decisions independently.
- Ability to read and interpret labels on Hatchery chemicals and supplies.

- Physical strength and ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor. This includes frequent bending, walking, and lifting.
- Stamina to maintain continuous physical effort for the durations of the shift on a regular basis.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs frequently and 70lbs occasionally.
- Work around raw, live animal odors.
- Work in a noisy environment (>85 decibels) and moving equipment.
- Work nights, weekends, holidays, and long shifts.
