About the Role
Sibylline is hiring a Research/Security Analyst to support our Products and Analysis Manager in driving product development and customer engagement initiatives for our Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). Based from anywhere in the US (virtual role), you will deliver high-quality and actionable insights which will help our teams to design and implement new Security services for our internal client base.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Propose, design, and execute mixed methods research projects assessing incident trends and security vulnerabilities;
- Identify, interpret, and evaluate trends and patterns in complex datasets to understand physical security risks and vulnerabilities;
- Collaborate with team members to identify security concerns and address evolving customer needs;
- Collect and analyze data through, surveys and interviews, open-source research, internal database queries, and other methods;
- Interpret and analyze research findings through qualitative or quantitative methods;
- Identify and communicate actionable research insights through written reports and presentations;
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide subject-matter expertise and identify incident trends;
- Maintain knowledge on emerging security threats, trends, and advancements in the physical security industry
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies, Criminal Justice, International Studies, Political Science, or a social sciences field;
- At least 3 years of experience in qualitative research, intelligence analysis, corporate security, or program evaluation, with experience in all stages of the analysis lifecycle;
- Proven experience with diverse intelligence collection and analysis techniques;
- Strong analytical instincts, with proven ability to synthesize complex information and draw meaningful conclusions;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience communicating actionable insights to client teams;
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously;
- Familiarity with data analysis methods and programs.
Desired
- Master’s degree in Security Studies, Criminal Justice, International Studies, Political Science, or a related field;
- Experience using qualitative research software and tools, such as ATLAS.ti, NVivo, or Dedoose;
- Experience using quantitative research software and tools, such as SPSS, Stata, R, or Python;
- Experience using data analysis software and tools, such as Tableau, Quicksight, or Power BI;
- Project management experience with research projects.

Successful candidates will be invited to complete a writing assessment (at an arranged time to suit you) to test writing and analytical ability, followed by a set of psychometric tests. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to a final panel interview. In the current environment, our interviews will be conducted virtually.
The remuneration for this role is negotiable for the right candidate, dependent on qualifications, aptitude and experience.
