Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 2+ years’ experience in medical office setting or hospital performing financial clearance processes.
Education/Licensure/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent. Pay Scale Information: CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. It’s Work That Matters.
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: Under moderate supervision, performs tasks associated requesting and obtaining authorizations. Organizes, updates, and maintains a worklist documenting progressing on tasks. Serves as the primary liaison between patient, CHLA, and third-party payers in answering questions and arranging payment. Answers and screens incoming calls while providing excellent customer service.
