Title: Principal / School Secretary
Reports to: Principal / Assistant Principal
Summary of Position
Perform confidential secretarial work for the building administrator(s) and ensure the smooth operation of the school office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming and helpful point of contact
- Monitor visitor access
- Maintain school master calendar
- Assist in the coordination of report card, midterm, and/or honor roll distribution
- Arrange and schedule appointments
- Manage student and staff records
- Coordinate pre and post school year preparation
- Manage inventory and distribute office supplies
- Process new and transferring students
- Obtain coverage for last minute teacher absences
- Assist in planning and operation of school functions
- Enter work-order requests
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal

Job Requirements
Skills:
- Good communication skills in person, over the phone, and through email
Skills/Knowledge of (Equipment or Software):
- Google: email, calendar, drive
- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Office Equipment
Physical Demands:
- Able to lift 25 lbs.
- Able to sit for long periods of time
- Able to stand/walk for long periods of time
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- School Office experience preferred
- Bilingual Spanish or Urdu a plus
Terms of Employment
- Salary Grade/Step: O-4
- Working Calendar: 215 working days, plus nine paid holidays
- Eligible for Benefits: Yes
