Qualifications
Successful candidates for the role for the 2021-2022 school year will bring the appropriate gravel-level teacher certification, and the following:
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university
- At minimum two to three years of classroom teaching experience working with scholars from historically disadvantaged backgrounds and communities
- A demonstrated track record of driving breakthrough student achievement results among your students
- Demonstrated ability to use multiple forms of quantitative and qualitative data to set goals, drive sound decision-making, and prioritize work and resources
- Strong oral and written English skills
- Flexibility and ability to multitask; capacity to work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions
- A valid Michigan (or reciprocal) teacher certification (K-8 self-contained preferred).
Compensation
Salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience with retention bonus and opportunities for merit-based increase.
