Job Summary:

RiverTech is looking for an Electronics / Electrical Engineer to work at Mike Moroney Aeronautical Center and travel to site locations 50% of the time. This position will be a member of a multi-functional team providing Engineering Support Services to the Federal Aviation Administration. This role will be primarily focused on one customer which will be The US Customs and Border Protection. The Electronics /Electrical Engineer will provide tower inspections to help facilitate maintenance procedures, repair procedures, and design improvements. This will require onsite travel to the locations the towers have been installed. Standard individual administrative tasks including individual time, timesheet, leave, and training completion; performance management; compliance with customer organization and company standards; performing other tasks as assigned and demonstrating proficiency, accuracy and attention to detail in assigned duties.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist other engineers in designing tests, setting up test beds and verifying test facilities for systems supported by AJW-L800.

  • Assist other engineers in mitigating obsolescence in systems supported by AJW-L800 by researching and recommending form/fit/function replacement for key components.

  • Assist other engineers in the development of quality improvements in both hardware and software for systems supported by AJW-L800.

  • Assist engineers in developing and executing strategies to ensure system sustainment throughout the life cycle of systems supported by AJW-L800.

  • Assist engineers in creating/editing/obsoleting items in LCSS/IFS systems.

  • Assist engineers in conducting material inspections/inventories.

  • Assist engineers in pulling data (cataloging, inventory, demand, and technical) for systems supported by AJW-L800.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a U.S. accredited university. Higher level degree in Electrical Engineering from a U.S. accredited university also meets the education requirement for this position.

  • U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Specialized knowledge of FAA systems, equipment, procedures, and operations is highly desired.

  • Knowledge of NAS systems computer hardware and firmware/software to include embedded applications is highly desired.

  • Experience in electrical engineering is an asset.
