Primary Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities are to set-up and perform test operations utilizing test methods, procedures, and verbal instructions. This includes performing Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) Testing and working closely with our Engineering Team to perform Engineering Verification Tests (EVTs) and other tests, as required. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of test results, electronic/mechanical troubleshooting, and completing basic rework.
Essential Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, this individual must have:
- High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3-5 years of related technical experience; technical training, degree and/or certification(s); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience performing test operations with test equipment, such as Oscilloscopes, Waveform Generators, Digital Volt Meters, Network Switches, Bit Error Rate Testers, Laboratory Power Supplies, and Platform Programmers (e.g., Xilinx Firmware)
- Ability to diagnose electrical deficiencies and recommend rework where necessary, including debugging at the component level
- Basic mechanical assembly and disassembly experience, which includes the ability to use hand and small power tools and various measuring and testing devices
- Experience testing and working with printed circuit board assemblies
- Willingness to embrace new test techniques to improve test procedure efficiency
- Ability to read and understand test procedures and instructions
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work overtime weekdays and weekends, if required
Highly Desirable Qualifications
- Basic experience with soldering, general electronic rework, and assembling hardware systems (mechanical & electrical hardware)
- Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, VXIbus Modules, Labview Hardware and Software
- Prior experience supporting the test needs of manufacturing and engineering departments
