Job Purpose:

This employee performs a variety of jobs in the repair area. Primarily the employee tests, troubleshoots and repairs products that are sent in for repair. This includes diagnosis, parts sourcing, estimate creation, repair documentation, and various other processes and interactions with engineers, product support and manufacturing. 

What Will You Do?

  • Analyze and apply information from a variety of sources, including:

  • Engineers, Operators, Dealers, etc.

  • BOM’s, Repair History, Schematics.

  • Engineering Change Orders and Quality Reports.

  • Use electronics tools (pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, cutters, soldering irons, etc.) to build/repair a variety of electronic devices.

  • Use electronic equipment (oscilloscope, volt ohm meters, frequency counters, etc.) to troubleshoot, analyze electronic circuits and correct problems.

  • Disassemble, repair, and assemble Electronics Products.

  • Establish cost estimates that may include purchased components, manufactured parts and assemblies and labor time requirements.

  • Help write test and repair procedures.

  • Meet or exceed typical expectations for creativity, productivity, quality of work, and safety.

What Will You Need?

  • Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, or equivalent formal education beyond high school.

  • 0-2 years of experience building, testing, and troubleshooting electronic assemblies and fixtures.

  • Proficiency in reading schematics and related engineering information.

  • Have effective communication skills, and work well with others.

  • Be willing to work overtime or extra hours as needed.

  • Squatting/Kneeling: Occasional

  • Pulling/Pushing: up to 50lbs.

  • Floor to Knuckle: up to 70lbs.

  • Knuckle to Shoulder: up to 35lbs.

  • Shoulder to Overhead: up to 25lbs.
