Electronic Security IT Tier 2 Support Specialist
Securityhunter is a leading provider of physical and Electronic Security systems to federal agencies. We are based in Baltimore, Maryland and we are looking to expand our technical team in the Maryland area.
Job Description & Qualifications
Daily Duties
· Provide remote and onsite advanced troubleshooting support to end-users.
· Troubleshoot network connectivity issues for onsite and remote locations.
· Serve as an escalation point for all unresolved Tier I support issues.
· Assess, assist with implementation, communicate, and deliver training on applications and updates with end user(s)
· Provide a high level of customer service to all end users.
· Communicate with end-users as required, keep users updated on support progress, and notify them once the issue has been resolved.
· Support various window platforms up to and including Windows 10
· Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, upgrade and install various desktop computer hardware and other network equipment.
· Set up and support hardware, software, network access, and other equipment.
· Ability to handle high call volumes
· Participate on cross-functional teams, design reviews and project meetings with client, construction management and installers
· Develop and submit device programming for field equipment operations
· Provide second-level support for end users and field technicians as needed
· Strong Troubleshooting Skills
· Coordination of service and support of building automation, access control and CCTV installations.
· Perform system administration duties for access control, CCTV, alarm systems
· Produce reports based on access control data to support Investigations and Auditing
· Provide support, troubleshooting, and training on CCTV applications
The minimum requirements we seek:
· Associate’s degree or in lieu of a degree, a High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years’ experience in project management, design, engineering, installation, or system administration
· One or more years of experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
· Experience with Windows Active Directory.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
· Experience with supporting remote users.
· Intermediate understanding of computer networks
· Excellent Customer Service
· IP Video experience
· A comprehensive knowledge of integrated security systems is required.
· Experience with applications, network architecture, client/server systems
Preferred Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology fields of study, Electrical fields of study or Project Management
- 2+ years of experience in security systems
- Solid grasp of security technology – access control, CCTV, intrusion alarm systems
- AMAG, Lenel, Bosch, DMP, Salient and certifications preferred
· Experience in managing systems over a corporate network
· Project Coordinator/Manager experience preferred
Starting Salary Range: $26 to $32 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
