Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Electronics Security Systems Engineerto join our team! In this role you will support and lead the design of complex Electronic Security Systems (ESS) for our Department of Defense, Army Corp of Engineers and Department of State customers.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Experience designing and reviewing designs of Electronic Security Systems solutions from initial concept, through site survey, through design phase and to release for construction (RFC).
- Interpret customer statements of work, specifications and requirements and transfer those into ESS design meeting all requirements.
- Work with CADD designers in developing construction documents and complete bills of materials.
- Work with Project Manager to understand required engineering deliverables and requirements.
- Work with Network Engineering to review network topologies.
- Review heat load calculations and power load calculations.
- Assist project manager in planning and scheduling work packages.
- Apply existing knowledge base to rapidly obtain proficiency on newly developed components and systems.
- Support installation, integration and test.
- The work will be done primarily onsite in Boise/Meridian.
Additional Desired Experience with most of the following:
- Specifying Access Control Systems (ACS) and credentialing systems (e.g., Genetec, Lenel, AMAG, Vindicator, Software house).
- Specifying Layered Network switches.
- Specifying RF network systems.
- Specifying Battery Backup systems.
- Specifying Command, Control, and Display Equipment (CCDE).
- Specifying Intrusion Detection System (IDS).
- Specifying CCTV cameras and Video Management Servers (e.g., Genetec, Bosch, Vindicator).
- Specifying Sensors, such as motion detectors (PIR), balanced magnetic switches (BMS), vibration detectors, buried line sensors (BLS), fiber optic sensor systems (FOSS).
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Preferred a Bachelor's degree in engineering or 5-10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Designing/Installing/Maintaining Lenel Security Systems (Certification highly preferred).
- Experience with designing solutions for IDS, ACS, CCTV, CCDE, VMS and associated sensors.
- Ability to multitask, while maintaining attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of network infrastructure and architecture.
- Experience with Intrusion Detection, CCTV or Access Control Systems preferred.

Salary Range:
$81,500.00 - $161,400.00
