Description
WisEngineering is currently identifying candidates for an IMMEDIATE opportunity in Dover, NJ in support of the US Army. Interested candidates must be US Citizens and eligible for a Secret Clearance if required.
Position Description
Apply, develop and customize new graphics and publication applications (utilizing XML, Macros, etc.) for the generation of information and materials. This will include both print and web-based manuals such as Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs).
Introduce new techniques and improved software that will help to update content, repair or update graphics, and incorporate 3-D models to which multimedia will be added to enhance the new IETMs ensuring clarity to the user of operation and maintenance of complex systems.
Prepare and manage style guides and edit Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT) stylesheets in order to keep all publications compliant to the Military Standards (MIL-STDs).
Use common scripting and automation techniques such as JavaScript, HTML/XHTML/HTML5, and XSLT; support content management system; web based document delivery systems; and XML Authoring and output processing using tools such as SiberSafe Content Management System, XMetal, Adobe Framemaker, and similar software.
Additional Requirements
Provide liaison support with technical subject matter experts to ensure operation and maintenance procedures are clearly and concisely articulated through the manuals in the proper format.
Provide technical support, to include troubleshooting, training, testing, and end-user support with regards to all electronic publishing and office productivity
Skills & Experience:
Experience with DoD or Army writing functions. (Preferred)
Experience with editing, text editing, publishing, and producing hardcopy and electronic media drafts and final reproducible copies.
Experience in the technical concepts, practices, and procedures relating to XML and common script languages such as JavaScript, XSLT, Content Management, XML Authoring, and XML output processing.
