Form of workCHARACTERISTICS OF THE WORK
Under general direction, trains personnel on the electronic medical records and practice management system at all Family Health Centers (FHC) locations.
EXAMPLES OF THE WORK (These statements are intended to be illustrations of the work of this class.)
Configures, tests, monitors, and supports the Electronic Health record (EHR) application during upgrades and post go-live support periods.
Provides go-live coaching and support.
Assists in the planning and execution of projects.
Trains personnel on new computer applications.
Provides post go-live audits and reviews.
Implements go-live corrective measures and retraining as required.
Ensures that clinical information systems are consistent with the professional standards of clinical practice.
Monitors activities related to organizational initiatives, such as Quality Improvement (QI), Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), Clinical Informatics, and Meaningful Use.
Collaborates with other technical staff to ensure hardware and connectivity is effective.
Performs and/or facilitates systems administration, such as new user set-up, e-prescribing enrollment configuration, and template modifications.
Assists with creating educational materials, such as user guides, process flow charts, and training materials.
Provides computer security training regarding the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the end user.
Performs related work as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Dental Hygiene, or a closely related field.
Five years of clinical/dental experience, which must have included training in and/or implementation of Electronic Health Records (EHR).

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted as determined applicable by Civil Service.
PHYSICAL REOUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Responds to patient and Family Health Centers' needs via the telephone, internet, fax, computer software and in person.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must provide own transportation to work at other locations as needed.
