The Electrical & Controls Technician will have the ability to operate, troubleshoot, maintain and repair the electrical control programs throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Install & maintain plant equipment to meet specs and regulations.
- Maintain cost control over equipment for budget purposes
- Maintenance in other areas of the facility when needed
- Repair & trouble shooting of electrical wiring, PLC's, controllers, lighting controls and electrical motors in a production environment.
- Ensure that GMP's (General manufacturing Practices), safety rules and regulations are being followed and enforced
- Maintain a relationship with local power company
- Assist IT Admin with daily, weekly and monthly tasks
- Installation of PLC equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Related Two or Four - year college degree and a minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in design of industrial electrical and controls. (3 years with a 4 year and 5 years with a 2 year)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good electrical knowledge
- Advanced computer skills
- Willingness and ability to work in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Electrical CAD design with knowledge of ACAD and or Bentley MicroStation
- Minnesota A Journeyman and or A Master licensing a plus
- Microsoft Office knowledge of Excel/Word/Access
- Process and Instrumentation knowledge of 4-20 ma and pneumatic actuators.
