Join our Division of Management Services as an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) Specialist! We are seeking a creative problem solver who is passionate about helping Idahoans. This position will be located in our Boise office.

Primary responsibilities include overseeing Electronic Payment System (EPS) operations and providing consultation and technical assistance to staff, customers and community partners regarding EBT. This position requires a creative, solution-focused, customer service driven, and energetic business professional.

This is a flexible/hybrid (combination of in-office and telework) position.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

+ Provide program oversight.

+ Monitor system performance and resolve system problems and errors.

+ Provide consultation and technical assistance on electronic payment processing to staff, customers, and retailers.

+ Train staff, customers, and retailers on system operations.

+ Resolve customer/retailer complaints.

+ Audit and review card inventory and systems.

+ Maintain bank routing number database.

+ Review and analyze data.

+ Monitor customer satisfaction.

+ Respond to questions about system operations.

+ Request security clearance for EPS and vendor system.

+ Pursue account repayments.

+ Process benefit cancellations and transfers.

+ Issue vendor system passwords.

+ Prepare reports.

+ Manually restore or expunge benefits.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. + Some knowledge of training methods.Typically requires at least 16 hours of training in the study of communication concepts, learning styles, course design, and presentation skillsORexperience presenting formal training sessions to groups (this could include "canned" presentations).

+ Experience researching, identifying, resolving, and reconciling payment problems in a financial system or electronic payment system.Typically requires at least one year of related professional work experience within the past five yearsORtwo related college courses PLUS six months of professional work experience in this area.
