- This position can be part-time or full time.
- This is a contract role for 6 months.
- You will be part of a global inspection team assuring the quality of GenSets which are generators, fuel tanks, plenums, mufflers and exhaust, some electrical components, and generator enclosures.
- Once on the team, you will be deployed through SQA's operations center based on client needs and each supplier's production schedule.
What you will do:
- Incoming inspection from external providers of products or services/processing (e.g., nickel plating).
- In-process and final inspection of critical features such as witness inspection.
- Compilation of final inspection sign-off sheet and report packages.
- Verification that inspection equipment used to take measurements is capable of detecting defects.
- Verification that inspection methodology is adequate per drawing intent.
- Audit and validate the execution to the inspection plan.
- Provide weekly reports of manufacturing sites ramp progress, equipment quality performance of the facility, delivery details by Data Center site.
- Conduct periodic quality audits of the supplier's factory, provide reports of results.
- Drive closure of findings identified as non-conformance.
- Ensuring supplier's quality control system document the findings.
- Provide customer witness for test scripts, including but not limited to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for all equipment. Validate equipment is acceptable with no issues and compliance to the Level 1 commissioning process (Red/Orange tags) before shipment to the Data Center.
What you'll need:
- Have experience inspecting generators, fuel tanks, plenums, mufflers and exhaust, some electrical components, and generator enclosures.
- Physically able to kneel and/or climb a ladder if needed
- 4+ years of experience in the industry or equivalent
- You should possess experience within a technical discipline or extensive technical training.
- Be able to read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards
