Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aerospace Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge aerospace products and systems. This includes the design and development of hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid control systems, including valves, motors, and other related components. The role involves working closely with multiple teams to ensure optimal product performance, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with engineering principles and standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop innovative aerospace products and systems using SolidWorks,
2. Perform detailed design analysis using DFMEA, FEA, and other design verification tools to ensure design robustness and reliability
3. Conduct design reviews
4. Work closely with the New Product Introduction (NPI) team to ensure a seamless transition from design to production
5. Utilize VAVE methodologies for design optimization and cost reduction
6. Develop and maintain product configurations using PLM systems
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in aerospace Design Engineering
3. Proficient in SolidWorks strongly preferred
4. Fluid control systems or components experience
5. Experience with DFMEA, VAVE, GD&T, ASME Y14.5, NPI, Configuration, and other relevant design methodologies
6. Proficient in 3D modeling, product development, design for manufacturing (DFM), and design optimization
7. Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and finite element analysis (FEA)
8. Electromechanical and/or motors experience is very helpful
