Job description

Solidus is searching for a Electro-Optical Engineer to support in the building, integrating, characterizing, and testing of developmental high-power laser systems. Will participate in the development of high-energy laser systems.
Requirements:
-  US Citizenship and an Active Top Secret Clearance
-  BS and 5 years minimum relevant experience
Required Skills:
-Custom laser system assembly, integration, and alignment
-Laser system characterization and documentation, including but not limited to, power, beam quality, wavelength, and temporal waveform
-Specifying optics and other components for custom laser systems
-Characterization of kW-class fiber amplifiers including PER, beam quality, power, and phase noise
-Large-mode-area splicing for kW-class amplifiers
Desired Skills:
-Labview
-Electronics Troubleshooting
