Electro-Mechanical Technician
The Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the electrical and mechanical elements of our high precision machines and systems. This position will include diagnostic abilities to determine source of problems as well as electrical and mechanical knowledge to correct malfunctions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, maintain, and repair the mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems of our machine tool equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot our equipment malfunctions.
- Repair or replace defective parts, hydraulic, air, and electronic units.
- Assemble and/or reassemble electronic and mechanical components in our equipment.
- Repair motors, transformers and gears as needed.
SPECIFIC TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
- Experience with various machine tool equipment such as lathes, grinding machines, machining centers, or similar metal cutting machines.
- Knowledge of computer numerical controls and other machine systems.
- Skill in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and correcting equipment malfunctions.
- Solid working knowledge of mechanical, drive, power, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the installation, troubleshooting and repair of computerized numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools preferred. Experience with Fanuc controls is preferred. Good communication skills are required.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma required. Associates Degree in Electrical or Electrical/Mechanical Technology preferred. Other degrees or equivalent experience will be considered.
