Position Summary: Responsible for all aspects of Sonix equipment manufacturing, including Electrical Box Wiring (stripping, crimping, etc.), Plumbing Tank assembly, Motion Control and Enclosure assembly, PC Configuration, Final system integration and testing, and system packaging and crating.
Performs supporting tasks as necessary in support of Production Schedules and Quality requirements; including, but not limited to Receiving, Shipping, Restocking, Kanban ordering, and general cleaning and maintenance of Production Work Area. Should be familiar with a variety of the Electrical / Mechanical field concepts, practices, and procedures. Basic Mechanical/Electrical blueprint reading and troubleshooting a plus.
Responsibilities:
- A manufacturing team member working in accordance with existing work instructions and company policy to ensure products that meet production and customer quality requirements.
- Learn and performs all tasks related to and/or necessary in the assembly, manufacturing and Integration of systems and products to meet forecast and manufacturing schedule.
- Perform all mechanical and electrical assembly and test to ensure system meet all certification and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair wide variety of Electrical/Mechanical problems associated with current product line and supporting machinery, including PLC and pneumatic systems. Work with engineering team to feedback systemic issues via the ECR process to ensure changes are implemented and tracked correctly.
- Parts Receiving and Incoming Quality inspection on ‘key’ manufacturing components.
- Work in team-based approach with all Operations and other department personnel in a Kaizen based continuous improvement process.
- Minimize lead times by implementing and following best practices.
- Cross training as required to support all Operations activities.
- Working knowledge of both the hardware and software of all platforms.
Quality
- Learn and perform all aspects In-Process and Final Manufacturing quality analyses.
- Ensure all work performed are in accordance with the best commercial quality practices, and complies with all ISO Quality standards.
- Maintains accurate records for completed tasks i.e.: Datasheets, Travelers, Routers and Inventory Transaction records.
Other Responsibilities
- Maintains a neat and organized work area.
- Participate in other duties as required to accomplish company objectives.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor or top level management.
Qualifications:
- Associate, Technical or Vocational certificate or degree in electrical/mechanical work preferred, but not required.
- Should be able to interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to perform basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
