Electrician Apprentice- Wheatland, WY

Job Summary:
Hoskinson Ranch and associated companies are in the mountain region of Wheatland, Wyoming. Our organization was created to bring innovation to a traditionally rural environment and provide some elements of agricultural support to the community. To ensure proper development, we are pursuing long-term expansion plans on the existing Ranch grounds.
This position will work at Twin Pine's Bison Ranch in Wheatland, WY under a licensed Master Electrician.
Summary of Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order
• Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.
• Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment, using hand tools.
• Thread conduit ends, connect couplings, and fabricate and secure conduit support brackets, using hand tools.
• Maintain equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely; report any issues to immediate supervisor
• Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, using hand tools.
• Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings, using hand and power tools.
• Clean area and wash parts.
• Dig trenches or holes for installation of conduit or supports.
• Strip insulation from wire ends, using wire stripping pliers and attach wires to terminals for subsequent soldering.
• Trace short circuits in wiring using test meter.
• Install copper clad ground rods using a manual post driver.
• Break up concrete using air hammer to facilitate installation, construction or repair equipment.
• Erect electrical system components and barricades and rig scaffolds, hoists and shoring.
• Transport tools, materials, equipment and supplies to work site by hand, hand truck, or heavy motorized truck.
• Follow safety procedures required at job sites
• Work simultaneously with other contractors to complete projects in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned

Direct Report: This position will report directly to Master Electrician and General Contractor.
Physical Requirements: Physical labor is to be expected, including but not limited to walking construction sites, working outdoors in various weather conditions, bending, kneeling, sitting, squatting. Must be able to wear common protective safety equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and high visible vests when working on-site. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Knowledge, Experience, & Education Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License
• Able to travel as required
